Shortwood's History
Shortwood Farm has been in our family for over a century, and it gives us great pleasure to share the farm with our visitors. Over the years we have strived to keep things personal and friendly, and that is why we have no hidden costs at Shortwood, and why we always make sure all of our visitors have got the most out of their trip.
Shortwood is a working organic farm and our chief farming enterprise is our dairy herd, but the farm is also home to a variety of pigs, poultry, goats, sheep, ponies, donkeys and guinea pigs.
We first opened the farm to visitors in 1988, and each year we have welcomed people of all ages, from tiny tots, right up to the 80 year old Lady who joined us last year and milked a cow for the first time in 60 years.
