ORGANIC fARMING

Learn about how we manage an organic farm and what goes into producing a pint of organic milk.

 

FARM HISTORY

Our exhibition tells of the history of Shortwood since our Great Grandparents bought it in 1903.

 

ANIMALS

Now we all know that it is not just children that love animals!! You could cuddle a kitten, stroke a pony or even milk a cow!!

 

WALKING

You will not be disapointed with the walk around the farm, the view from the top of the bank stretches from the Bromyard Downs past the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds to the Black Mountains.

 

WOODLAND

Broxash wood is a must for nature lovers. This ancient woodland has it all from primroses and bluebells to a 2000 year old small leaved lime coppice.

 

AFRICAN FARMYARD

Our African Farmyard is a replica of a farmyard belonging to a family which has recieved the help from the charity Send a Cow. Learn about how the manure from the cow is used to grow vegetables in key hole and bag gardens.

 

RELAX

Take time to relax, to watch the birds, to lean on a gate to admire the view or just  listen to the sounds of the countryside. 

 

TAKE TEA

Enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of home made cake in our tea room.
