SPRING FEVER AT SHORTWOOD

Now it is the middle of winter, it is cold and dark, the trees are bare and all the animals are in the barns keeping warm. The beauty of summer seems a distant memory.
GREAT NEWS!!
To day I saw snowdrops in the garden at Shortwood, the first sign that things are on the move again. Soon the daffodils will be out and what does that mean ? SPRING IS COMING!!! And what does that mean Shortwood Farm will be open again on 31st March !!!!
Now that is something to look forward to. The days will be longer, the buds will be bursting, the primroses will be flowering in the woods but better still baby animals!!
There will be little chicks and ducklings, lambs and calves and who knows there may even be some pigletts as well !! Now there is something to get excited about !!
We have lots of ideas for spring crafts and competitions.
Then on Easter Sunday and Monday there will be our Easter egg hunt.
